Wondering how your Eames® Chair might perform at an auction one day? Check out the results of this week’s landmark auction of items by Charles and Ray Eames. The auction included many unique items, like the Speaker shown above (result $4,463), however, some of the highlights were pulled out at the last minute, due to a lawsuit filed by Lucia Eames against sellers John and Marilyn Neuhart. Eames claims that the Neuharts, who were the official archivists of the Eames Office, didn’t have the right to sell some of these items. Upon learning of the lawsuit, the auction house, owned by Richard Wright, agreed to pull the lots in question until a resolution was found.
