Design Week NYC: Visit, Vote, Explore, Party.

Here are a few highlights for the upcoming Design Week in NYC, including our exhibition at WantedDesign and a DWR SoHo Party.

May 19–21: Visit us at WantedDesign 
Featuring a rich program of design workshops, conversation series, school projects, a pop-up store and lounges and cafes for people to relax and connect, WantedDesign is a must-see during Design Week. Stop by the DWR Booth to vote in our Live/Work Design Contest, co-sponsored by Dwell magazine. Open 10am–7pm daily. Location: The Tunnel, 269 11th Avenue (at 28th street)

May 19 at Noon: Designing, producing, and distributing design products in the U.S.
Speakers include John Edelman (Design Within Reach CEO), Todd Bracher (Todd Bracher Studio), and Laura Ann Young (Areaware). Moderated by Susan S. Szenasy (Metropolis Magazine), this conversation series will explore the realities behind putting design products into production and getting them into consumers’ hands. Location: WantedDesign VIP Lounge at The Tunnel, 269 11th Avenue (at 28th street)

May 18–21: Noho Design District
Produced and curated annually by Sight Unseen, the Noho Design District is an exciting incubator for new ideas and emerging talents. This year’s events include a temporary 3,500-square-foot showroom for lighting company Roll and Hill, where they'll be exhibiting new products for 2012. Location: Noho neighborhood, bounded by Broadway and the Bowery, Houston Street and Cooper Square. Click here for MAP.

May 19–22: International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF)
Held annually at the Javits Convention Center, this year’s show will host more than 500 exhibitors from 30 countries in 10 categories – from furniture to lighting to accessories. Location: Javits Convention Center, 11th Avenue at 38th Street

May 21, 6–8pm DWR SoHo Party
Meet designers Rich Brilliant Willing and David Weeks and see their new lighting solutions for DWR. We’ll also be showing you a recliner by Milo Baughman and a desk by Jens Risom. RSVP to Location: DWR SoHo Studio, 110 Greene Street (between Prince and Spring)
