To ease yourself into the weekend, check out this mesmerizing video of Nils Völker’s latest work, “One Hundred and Eight.” The installation features 108 garbage bags that are selectively inflated and deflated by 216 computer-controlled fans. Each bag has two fans, one to pump air in, and the other to suck it out. The result is an undulating wall that has the grace of rolling ocean waves (and the lung capacity of a giant).
Mesmerizing is one word for it :) It's a little eerie even a litte gross. :)
