A Hue-morous Way to Organize Your Books.

Starring an ordinary bookshelf with the extraordinary ability to single-handedly coordinate its contents by hue, this playful stop-motion animation video by Sean Ohlenkamp and Lisa Blonder Ohlenkamp may tempt even the most stringent catalogers to reconsider their organizational methods.

Tell us, how do you organize your bookshelf? By subject? By author? By color?

I sort by color! my friends say it's weird.

I just blogged about organizing my dad's library by 'hue' and a friend sent me the link to the Ohlenkamp's video. What a fantastic piece of art they created! The book collector in me likes organizing the books by author but the creative part of me loves both organizing by color and a good old fashioned stack'em in as if you don't give a care. It makes a bookshelf look thought out and mature to have books sorted by color and size but it can be cozy to have a lived-in and loved bibliophile's library.
