Time flies.
It's hard to believe that it's been 10 years since Santiago Calatrava completed his $100 million Quadracci Pavilion at the Milwaukee Art Museum. The captivating structure includes a steel brise soleil that unfolds each morning and folds back up at night. The museum will celebrate this marvel of engineering and grace with an exhibit opening in September. When you go, be sure to check out our Globus Chairs, designed by Jesús Gasca, in the Windhover Hall (shown below).

I visited soon after the opening. The new museum plus the exhibit, Da Vinci and the Splendors of Poland, especially the Memling triptych, was an incredible experience.
