I am not impressed with the work of Eames, Noguchi and Saarinen ....... long before these designers commissioned these mass produced decoys we had talent with decoy carvers such as the likes as Wheeler, Boyd, Gibian, herter and such! Sometimes designers see an opportunitity to make money and they imprint on an idea .... give me a 1930's paper mache Herter's Crow Decoy it will far surpass the value of anything Saarinen commissioned!

Sunday sunny winter skies,
flocks of blackbirds, wings of sound,
flapping rapture, beating down,
hundreds, hundreds, everywhere,
turning, turning, in the air.
Like pools of ink flinged awry,
with fluttered light on onyx wing,
startled sudden, up they swing,
then down they perch with clamored song,
a nervous crowd that won’t sit long.
An amazing sight, this aerial view,
