When you watch Mad Men, do you find yourself more interested in the furniture than the characters? If so, you should know that we are hiring. You should also know that we’d love to hear your thoughts about the set designs. Share your comments here on the blog or on our Facebook page. Oh, and if you want to impress your friends with your smarts, the chair that Pete is sitting in above is the Eames® Executive Chair, also known as the Time-Life Chair, designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1960. Our CEO loves this chair so much that he collects them, and uses one in his office at home. What’s your favorite Mad Men chair?

Draper has my lamp on his desk. It's probably a late 40s early 50s piece. It's distinctive, and identical to mine.

When I see his lamp, nothing else is happening on screen...

Eames Plywood Lounge Chair (LCW chair)is my fave!

My favorite is Eames classic Billy Wilder lounge chair - particularly the rosewood and black leather/goose down cushion model that was made before Herman Miller caved in to the environmental whackos about using rosewood.

I love the black 60's space age chair in Roger's office. I have seen them before. I am not sure of the designer but it's very sputnik lamp type. It also reminds me of a bug about to eat something or a Venus fly trap plant. The set designer was very fitting in capturing Roger's personality thru Roger's art and furniture in his office.

I have one of these chairs from an earlier life in the corporate world. I believe its a knock-off and not a real Eames, tho it still looks and sits great!

Love the artwork and Corbusier
lounge in rogers office.

My favorite Mad Men chair is the cream and wood one from Pete's office from seasons 1-3 that I purchased in auction from the production company.

I also own a black chair from the bullpen, but it's not as unique.

I got a kick out of seeing Roger lounging on his Corbu chaise in last week's episode. If you looked closely you saw that the headrest was pushed up out of his way. I have the same chaise in black and the fact is, with the bolster in place the chaise is unsittable.

Last week my daughter brought her puppy for a visit and he ruined the value of the chaise by attacking the bolster and scattering its stuffing all over the room. On the other hand, its finally comfortable to sit in.
