Mad about Midcentury Modern.
The return of Mad Men has us buzzing about midcentury modern decor even more than usual. The AMC series pays incredible attention to recreating 1960s details and the sets don't dissappoint. We've rounded up three of our favorite Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce looks for your Don Draper-worthy home or office.

Saarinen Table used as a desk.

A drop of high viscosity liquid inspired Eero Saarinen to craft the Saarinen Table's unique shape. Roger Sterling uses this table as a desk in his Mad Men office, and it's worth noting that our CEO at DWR does the same.
Brightly Colored Sofa

Designed in 1954, designer Florence Knoll Basset referred to her Lounge series as the "meat and potatoes" of an interior, though adding some flavor to these design staples doesn't hurt. The Florence Knoll Sofa truly pops when outfitted with a bright upholstery.
Statement Clock

The Nelson Spindle Clock is one of the many quirky clocks designed by George Nelson & Associates in the 1940s and '50s. A statement clock not only adds a fun touch to the Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce office, it's a necessity. One wouldn't want to keep the ad executives (or Joan) waiting.

When will we see more furniture?
EAMES plastic? Time life?

The eames Time Life chair was originally designed in 1960 for the reception areas at Time. At a later date we asked Eames to extend it into a desk chair with tilt and it was a great success, with installations at John Deere Headquarters designed by Sarrinen and the Ford Foundation by Dinkaloo and Roach. Warren Plattner was the Interior Designer for both projects. It continued it's success for years and was re-issued by Herman Miller. I was the V.P. of Design at Herman Miler during that time (1964-1979) Bob Blaich

Dr. Blaich, May I correct your spelling? The designer of the Ford Foundation's name is Kevin Roche, the firm is Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo and Associates. Thank you!
