Design Week NYC: WantedDesign.
I missed the 20-foot reclaimed wood seesaw on my first trip through WantedDesign, so dense was the space with interesting things (and people) to see. WantedDesign is a four-day event featuring the work of designers from around the world. Here are a few of the highlights.
New lighting by David Trubridge
Water Tower Chair by Bellboy, a collaborative wood shop based in Brooklyn. Made with wood reclaimed from a 10,000-gallon rooftop water tank on the roof of a Park Avenue coop, this chair was part of the 12x12 NYC exhibition, featuring 12 designers using reclaimed lumber from 12 demolished buildings.
Trama Armchair by Fernando Jaeger
The aforementioned seesaw by Nikolai Moderbacher, part of the 12 x 12 NYC exhibition, featuring 12 designers using reclaimed lumber from 12 demolished NYC buildings.
WantedDesign is also the location of the DWR Booth where we're displaying the 10 finalists in our Live/Work Design Contest, co-sponsored by Dwell magazine. Stop by to vote for your favorite, or vote online. WantedDesign is open to the public through Monday, May 21.

What a splendid exhibit and I truly love that "Trama Armchair" by Fernando Jaeger -- magnificent! Great blog each time! What a pleasure!
