We asked 111 architects, designers and other industry professionals to comment on the 111 Navy Chair®. Australian-born, California-based Amber B. Dianda was one of them. Seamstress by night and photographer by day, Amber’s hand-sewn plush creatures possess a curiously sinister quality, while her photography captures emotion with minimal interruption. We were a little nervous when an "R" was the first letter hoisted to the roof by the sign installers here at DWR headquarters. Fortunately, after much drilling and hammering ("is that another earthquake?" someone asked), the letter "D" was the first to be installed on our facade.
