Morris (1922–2009) was born in San Francisco, and graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford. In the 1950's modern architecture boom in Southern California, Morris' work didn't generate a lot of publicity, but his inventive, fluid approach should not be overlooked. Morris' other projects include the Max Bubeck House (1956) and the Murakami Residence (shown below), both in California.
