Hello, Cambridge! We went big and bright in the Boston area.

It’s more than twice the combined size of our two previous Studios in the Boston area and occupies an easy-to-find spot just a few blocks from Harvard Square. Say hello to DWR Cambridge, the latest addition to our growing list of bigger, brighter Studios springing up across the country. In the last year, we’ve opened new spots in West Hollywood, San Francisco, New York, Houston, Chicago, Seattle and now Cambridge.

“We know people in the Boston area share our passion for modern design, and now we have the space to give them more of what we all love,” says John Edelman, CEO of DWR.

Take a look at the photo above and you will get an idea of what we’ve been up to. The new space sports plenty of glass for great views from inside and out and dramatically expanded spaces to let our world’s largest assortment of authentic modern furniture shine like never before. Doesn’t the arrangement by our great visual merchandizing team make you want to step into the photo and take a seat in that comfy crimson Womb Chair?

Fully furnished “rooms” help customers envision how pieces will work in their own homes.

We’ve gotten raves from customers and the press everywhere we’ve opened new Studios recently. They love seeing and trying out all the authentic modern furniture, and we love showing it. For instance, The Boston Globe recently called the Cambridge Studio “a design lover’s dream.”

Visit our new locations and you’ll see what they’re talking about even before you get inside. The Light Cloud beckons visitors through expansive banks of windows, a jaw-dropping cluster of hundreds of pendant light fixtures. Once inside, you’ll find furniture and accessories organized into “houses” and “rooms” that allow you to see how sofa collections, lounge chairs, recliners, dining tables, side chairs, credenzas, shelving, lamps, mirrors, beds and mattresses, dressers and rugs could work in your own home.

The Swatch Wall displays hundreds of fabric and leather samples in an appealing array that itself is a piece of great design. And nearby, Design Tables provide a place for customers to work with sales associates to discuss furniture, select fabric or study customized renderings from our 3-D Room Planner. A Private Showroom provides space for customers to meet with sales associates or their own design consultants.

Everyone at DWR is proud of the new space in Cambridge and eager to spread the word and entertain customers. Stop in when in the Boston area or near other of our other locations, grab a free bottle of water and start test-driving our beautiful modern furniture.
