For information on entering the 2017 Champagne Chair Contest, follow this link.
After a marathon session to review more than 500 entries, judges have selected finalists in our annual Champagne Chair Contest. They selected 20 chairs for Best Original Design and 10 for Best Likeness, a new category this year geared toward chair builders who prefer paying homage to classics rather than designing from scratch. The 20 finalists in the original design category, presented below along with Best Likeness finalists, will be whittled to 10 for the final judging later this month. From them, three designs will be named winners. One design will be chosen from the Best Likeness finalists. For those who didn’t make the cut, it’s never too early to start work for next year’s contest, which will be our lucky 13th. Check out the rules and all of this year’s entries.
